One of the most important things that you need to follow in gerd diet is the fact that you have to avoid any food at least three hours before you get into the bed. This means that you should have your dinner at least three hours before you go off to sleep. This can be a very difficult thing to do in the beginning. You can get use to such a method by having a meal early in the evening. Try and have a healthy meal so that you don’t feel hungry again after sometime.

One of the main objectives of the gerd diet is the fact that you should be able to lose weight. Most of the people who suffer from gerd tend to put on a lot of weight. It is very important that you lose the extra kilos or else the overweight might well lead you into more health complications.  It is therefore very important that you eat healthy food which will make you string but won’t fill you with extra fat. Avoid the consumption of meat and try and follow a vegetarian diet for as long as possible.

One of the most important things that you need to follow is the fact that there should be zero intake of alcohol during gerd diet. Alcohol can have very bad effects on your health and can make the problem of gerd worse. Like alcohol, you need to also avoid smoking or any kind of tobacco intake. This also can be a very difficult challenge especially for people who drink and smoke on a regular basis. However, it is important that you follow these instructions carefully if you wish to get rid of gerd soon.

One of the things that you need to take care is that do not eat large meals. One of the best things you need to do is eat small meals. However, you should consume these small meals on a more frequent level.

You should avoid fatty foods and fried food when you are suffering from gerd. It is extremely important that you don’t consume any kind of oily food. You also should avoid consuming chocolate. This also might be a very difficult thing to do as chocolate is extremely tempting but you will have to follow the gerd diet so that you can get rid of it at the latest.

You can help yourself a lot by following the gerd diet. Very few individuals are able to follow it on a consistent basis. You need to remember the fact that gerd has a tendency to reoccur and hence it is recommended that you follow the diet for as long as you can even after the gerd gets cured.

    Yes it is possible to cure gerd with a simple diet.
